《I - 台灣》系列:
愛台灣是句人人都高喊的口號，陳腔濫調到不行。
我是台灣人，但我不曉得台灣人這個名稱該有什麼樣的本質。
是出生地？居住所？祖籍？血統？還是情感的歸屬？
台灣又是什麼？
地理名稱？省分名？國名？政治實體名？島名？嫟稱？母親的名字？幾百年前的台南？還是網址？
不論以上的問題與答案是什麼，我只知道：我生在台灣、長在台灣、關心台灣每天發生的大小事情。 I -台灣 ，是張目所望日日似有巨變的台灣場景，在各種不同的情緒與想法的暫留間，所組成的希望、熱情、存疑、失望，因窘、沮喪，在我眼腦之間激盪,
要面對面的是這塊土地，這裡的人們，還是根本就是我自己。
藉由攝影影像想要更深刻地：
尋訪台灣風味，條理出台灣種種亂象中的秩序。
追逐台灣之美，重新肯定台灣生命力的歷程。
“I /love – Taiwan” Series:
“I/love Taiwan” is a phrase that everyone shouts out - to a point of such proclamation is banal. I am a Taiwanese, and yet I do not know what defines this name, “Taiwanese” clearly. Is it the birthplace? The place of inhabitance? Where one’s ancestors are from? Lineage? Or where the heart resides?
And what is Taiwan?
A geographic name? The name of a province? A country? The name of a political entity? An Island? A nickname? The name of motherland? Tainan- many hundred years ago? Or a website address?
No matter what the questions and answers are above, all I know is that: I was born in Taiwan, grew up in Taiwan, and care about all the things that happen on Taiwan day by day. So “I/love – Taiwan” Series is about the drastic daily changes happening in the scenes of Taiwan. Hope, passion, doubt, despair, distress, and sorrow, all kinds of emotions and thoughts temporarily reside arousing in my mind and before my eyes.
I want to confront the land、 The people and myself truthfully.
Through the photographing images, I wish :
Discovering what is Taiwan-flavor, organizing a sense of order among all the chaos in Taiwan.
Chase the missing beauty of Taiwan, re-confirming Taiwan’s course of vitality.
